Grandma Diana, who Meredith Diana was named after, and Grandpa Martin came all the way up from California to visit us for 7 days last week.
Our first stop on their visit was to the Mountain Home Airforce Base, about 45 minutes away from our home. It was Jeremy's first time on a military base so he was pretty excited.

Every year our little town of Star has a celebration called Star Mule Days. Obviously not a very glamorous title for a town celebration, and we have no idea why it's called that, but it's a lot of fun anyway with its tiny parade and carnival. The highlight of the parade, besides the fire truck and a tank driving by is the candy they throw out to the people along the parade route. So before it starts the girls are prepared with their little bags in hand.
After the parade we went to the little carnival and the girls and Grandma enjoyed the rides. Though the carousel was quite a bit faster than Grandma expected!
A couple of days before they left we took a walk down the Boise River, one of favorite places near our home. It was a beautiful day for a walk a great place to take pictures.

now be honest, do you threaten meredith with creamed spinach if she doesn't take good pictures or something? that child is the most photogenic I have ever seen...I should drive up there one weekend just to shoot her for a few days...she makes it look easy!

OH MY WORD... Meredith looks SO tall and long in these pictures. When did she start growing? Sheesh! And sweet Peanut looks so grown up too... she doesn't have that baby face anymore. What pretty girls they are:)You should turn that last picture of Meredith into the tv station too!
