Before school started this year, we went to the zoo to enjoy the weather and being with each other.
The girls had fun showing their little brother all the animals for the first time.
Cole saw his first penguin...
and first lion...
and giraffes!
But was not too happy with the goats!
The zoo's new butterfly exhibit was the best part of the day. They were all around us and sometimes would land on our clothes.
Meredith was always patiently coaxing them on her finger.
