To ring in the new season we went to mall to introduce Cole to Santa for the first time. We had talked about him a lot beforehand, and Cole had even corrected us more than once by saying his name is 'Santa Claus' not just 'Santa'.
And here is the joyful introduction... full of childhood happiness, excitement and wonder. Though he did not enjoy it, his parents did!
That night we did the traditional neighborhood Christmas lights drive. Like every year we made some hot chocolate and loaded in the car. We are always so grateful to people who take the time to give us free entertainment.
The kids enjoyed trimming the tree..
A couple days before Christmas, the girls wanted to sleep under the tree all night. So we got them all ready, including Cole, though unbeknownst to him it would be a shorter night than for his sisters.
That night as Cole slept soundly in his own bed, the family spent a night of musical beds ending with Meredith and Daddy in the master bedroom, Mom on Lorelei's bed, and Lorelei still under the tree.
Christmas Eve was gingerbread train time!
Though he looks busy making his train, we all know Cole was just eating his candy smorgasbord.
Merrry Christmas!
Surprisingly the most loved gift this year were their robes and slippers. Who knew!!?
To make Christmas even more sweeter this year was the snow that began to fall for the first time this year.
Heavenly.
