January started with a long awaited trip to California. Since Grandma and Grandpa Collett are serving their missions they have not been able to come up and see us for a very long time so we were all so happy to see them.
We started the weekend touring the USS Iowa. The cousins loved running around the ship and going up and down the stairs, which were horrifying, by the way. but not to a two year old unfortunately.
Of course we went to the Newport Beach pier and and enjoyed being in the sun. It was supposed to be cold weather but changed the four days we were there. Luckily we brought shorts, but had to buy flip flops. Gotta have some flp flops.
The kids started collecting shells but found out it was more fun to just play in the water.
While on the beach we noticed a boat full of tourists enjoying the dolpins in the water. It was awesome we could see them so far away!

Then it was dinner at Grandma Great's with all the family. As the night went on it became so CRAZY we forgot to take pictures, but we did take these cute ones of the kids talking and enjoying the lemon tree.

Those pictures on the beach are amazing! Were you scared that Cole was going to jump off the ship? I get so paranoid about things like that with Sammi!
