Is there anything better than spending time with a 3 year old and his new fishing pole? Nope.
For Cole's birthday we packed snacks and fishing poles and went searching for a good place to fish.
We drove to a place called Black Canyon but couldn't find a kid friendly place to fish, so we ended up coming back home and fishing at our familiar Boise River spot in Eagle.
The ever-friendly Cole waving at some people playing on the river...
Our sweet Cole... who is already getting so big and losing his baby-ness. Still technically a toddler, but so grown up in his actions and feelings. Always is making sure everyone is happy and so willing to give a hug and kiss or a high-five to anyone who will ask.
You surprise us with how smart you are and how much you have learned in such a short time. Colors, numbers by sight, and so many shapes. You even know what a trapezoid is. A TRAPEZOID? It's so interesting see how different a little boy brain works from your sisters'. You focus on things that are so masculine like building and engineering.
You are also so loving and kind, something your mom knew and felt you would be before you were born as you were still inside her. She could feel your sweet spirit and knew you were an incredible person. As you grow, hold on to that tenderness, it will be one of your greatest gifts and will aid you more than you know.
Happy Birthday.
We love you, Coley.
